Love Your Neighborhood, Not Your House? Let’s Talk Before You Move

You love your street. You love your neighbors, your commute, the school zone, the way the evening light hits the back patio.

It's the house that stopped fitting.

The kitchen feels like 2004. There's no room for the family you have now. Or the layout made sense for the people who built it, and not for you.

So you start scrolling listings. And somewhere between the third open house and the tenth tab, a quiet question shows up: What if I didn't have to leave?

I'm Felix Trujillo. I live in Cedar Park, I work all of Austin, and I came up in construction. That question is one of my favorites, and the answer is not always the one you expect.

Remodel or Move? Here's the Honest Truth

Sometimes the right move is to stay and make the house yours. Sometimes the right move is to sell and go. I'm not going to push you either way before I've seen the house.

What I won't let you do is guess. Guessing is how people end up in a house they don't love, or in a project that never gets finished.

"I Don't Want to Manage a Crew."

Good. You shouldn't have to.

I work with my father, Felix Trujillo of Felix Renovations. He has built and remodeled for clients across the Austin market for years. He handles the construction side. I stay on the real estate side, so the numbers, the contract and the timeline stay clean. You don't have to chase the crew or the permits yourself.

"What If It Costs Too Much?"

Fair question. And it's the one I answer first, before anything is signed.

We look at what the house can support, what the market will return, and what you want to keep. There's a way to look at it that most homeowners never see, because nobody sits down with them to show it. I'll show you.

Cost and financing options depend on your house and your goals. That's a conversation for the walk, not a blog post.

"What If I Just Move?"

Maybe you should. If the numbers say sell, I'll tell you that, and I'll tell you why. I'm a Realtor first. But you deserve to make that call with the facts about your home in front of you, not a hunch.

Kitchens. Baths. Additions. Full Remodels.

Whatever is on your mind, the standard is the same. We walk the house. We talk about what you want to keep and what you want gone. Then we look at what the house can support.

Do I Have to Know What I Want?

No. Bring the frustration. Bring the Pinterest board. Bring a half-formed idea and a list of what drives you crazy. That's enough.

Tell me the address and what you want changed. I send the agreement. Then we walk it together.

You can see how it works on my remodel page.

The Longer You Wait

Every month in a house that doesn't fit is a month you're paying for the house you don't love. The talk costs you nothing but a few minutes to open a file. Let's see what your house can become.

Open Your Remodel File With Felix

Felix Trujillo

Felix does the work because the file is his. He walks the house before anyone writes an offer or lists it. He reads the numbers, the contract, and the condition himself. That is not a slogan. It is how he keeps the transaction from sliding.

He comes from construction Foreman leadership. He has fixed the things most agents only describe. When a buyer or seller is standing in a house that has a real problem or a real opportunity, he can talk about it without guessing. He does not hand the walk to a junior or a team.

He stays on the file because that is the only way the client gets the result. He has seen what happens when the agent disappears after the listing agreement or the showing. He does not do that. The people who need him are the ones who want the person who already walked it, already knows the numbers, and will still be there when the title company calls. That is the reason, not the pitch.
